Dr. Milton J. Bennett founded and directs the Intercultural Development Research Institute co-located in Milano, Italy and Washington State, USA (http://www.idrinstitute.org). He is an adjunct professor of sociology at the University of Milano-Bicocca, where he teaches intercultural communication in the graduate program of Social Service Management and Political Policy. Dr. Bennett is known for originating the Developmental Model of Intercultural Sensitivity that has been used to guide training and research in the field for over 30 years, and his many publications on intercultural relations.
In the corporate sector, Dr. Bennett has been on the executive training faculty of Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business, Smith College, Boeing Leadership Center, Motorola University, the Stockholm School of Economics, and Eni University, and currently the Mesa Researech Grop Global Leadership Program and CEDEP. Additionally he has consulted directly with over one hundred companies and business schools.
